Missions

A theme that is repeated throughout the Bible is service to our neighbors in the name of Christ. This fellowship embraces its global neighborhood, reaching out to not only the Auburn campus, but also to the entire nation and the world in service and sacrifice. As members of the body of Christ, we all have gifts to share. The Wesley Foundation encourages its participants to use those gifts to the glory of God.

Local Missions

Locally, we have both relational and construction missions. On the construction side we are able to work with Alabama Rural Ministry to help many people in the area who need home repairs. Relationally, we adopted grandparents with Morningside Retirement Center last year with hopes to continue the program this year.

International Missions

Our international trips offer a chance for a more in depth experience. The lengths of the trips vary each year, but they are typically longer, about 3 weeks, and involve more preparation. The rewards for going are priceless. The chance to make friends across the world while meeting their basic needs and while demonstrating Christ's love is unforgettable. In the past we have taken trips all around South America and also to Africa. We traveled to Jamaica during Spring Break last year, and then sent eight students to Bolivia and Ecuador for nine weeks over the summer.
**Applications will be available Wednesday night, Nov. 15 for this summer's three week international trip. They will be due in the Fireside room the Wednesday after Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 29). See Cameron for more details.

National Missions

Traditionally we take a national trip every Christmas and Spring Break. However, in the past year, our National trips consisted of hurricane relief trips, several thoughout the fall semester and a couple during Christmas break. This is a great opportunity to be able to have a concentrated effort for an extended period of time. And it's a sure way to have a blast on your breaks!
